Inside Kitipo: Angelina Bruno’s journey in Just Dance 2026
Ubisoft has shared a new behind-the-scenes video for Just Dance 2026 Edition, focusing on the creation of the Kitipo map. The piece spotlights a collaboration with hip-hop dancer and sophrologist Angelina Bruno and includes exclusive footage from the shoot. Through her story, Bruno discusses resilience, confidence, and self‑expression, offering an intimate look at her path into the project. The update also outlines how the map’s tone aligns with Just Dance’s emphasis on representation and accessible choreography.
What the new video shows

The behind-the-scenes feature captures on-set moments from the Kitipo production and frames them with Bruno’s perspective on identity and performance. It leans into her lived experience and how it informs the choreography and presentation. The result, according to Ubisoft, is a piece designed to reflect movement as a universal language.
Angelina Bruno’s role and message
Bruno – who recently performed at the opening and closing ceremonies of the Paralympic Games – brings a focus on visibility and empowerment. She outlines how embracing her disability fuels her creative expression and encourages others to find their voice through dance.
“Someone who looks like me could say: it’s not impossible for me to dance,” she says. “It gives people who are like us symbols and representation.”
Developer perspective
Ubisoft Paris Studio positions Kitipo as an expression of the series’ core ethos, where individuality is central to the performance experience.
“The map we created with Angelina Bruno for Just Dance 2026 Edition embodies the spirit of Just Dance, where every dancer’s individuality shines,” says Hélène Jeannin, Content Director at Ubisoft Paris Studio. “Angelina brings her incredible energy and talent to the screen. Her presence in the Kitipo map celebrates unity and self-expression.”

About the Kitipo map
Kitipo features music performed by Dominican artists Dixson Waz, La Tukiti, and Amenazandel. Its visual identity centers on a van outfitted with a large sound system, drawing inspiration from Caribbean street parties. The production design and choreography aim to translate that street-festival energy into Just Dance’s format.
Accessibility and representation in Just Dance 2026
Just Dance 2026 Edition highlights a wide range of coaches representing different bodies, styles, and settings. Ubisoft also points to choreographies built for varied play contexts – including Feather (Parachute Version), a routine designed to be performed while seated. These choices underline the game’s ongoing focus on inclusivity.
Availability
Just Dance 2026 Edition is available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2 via backwards compatibility.
Terminology note: In Just Dance, a “map” refers to the combined music track, choreography, performance, and visual presentation seen during play.
Why it matters – movement as common ground
Kitipo’s behind-the-scenes look foregrounds artistry and access – from Bruno’s perspective on representation to choreography that supports different ways to play. For players, it’s a clear signal that Just Dance 2026 continues to evolve around inclusion, identity, and the joy of movement.
