Ringside Pass Explained: How Wwe 2K26’S New Dlc Model Works
Table of Content Зміст статті

2K is overhauling post-launch content in WWE 2K26 with the Ringside Pass – a battle pass structure featuring both free and premium reward tracks. Season 1 goes live on March 6 during Early Access, marking the first time post-launch DLC characters are available at launch. The pass spans multiple core game modes and ties progression to in-game activity via RXP. A total of 6 seasons are planned across the year, and earlier seasons do not expire when new ones arrive.

What the Ringside Pass Includes

The Ringside Pass splits into two synchronized tracks. The free track features 60 rewards across 40 tiers, including items like VC, MyFACTION Packs, MFP, and The Island cosmetics. The optional premium track adds 60 more rewards – such as new DLC Superstars, CAS parts, Island taunts, and Personas – for a combined total of 120 rewards per season. Progress applies to both tracks at once, so reaching a tier unlocks rewards on each side simultaneously.

Progression and Rxp: How You Unlock Content

Advancement relies on RXP, which you earn by playing matches across most modes with an online connection. Wins grant more RXP, and there are both repeatable challenges and one-time milestone objectives to accelerate progress.

  • RXP-enabled modes: Play Now, Universe, MyRISE, Showcase, MyGM, MyFACTION, The Island
  • Online play: RXP is granted in online matchmaking, The Island, and MyFACTION; custom online lobbies do not award RXP

Premium Track Specifics and Playable Characters

Each Ringside Premium Pass includes the season’s post-launch DLC Superstars. The first DLC Superstar unlocks automatically, while the rest can be earned within tiers 1-20 by playing. Additional playable options such as Personas generally appear in tiers 21-40. For Season 1’s premium track, the lineup also includes 4 new playable Superstars, 2 Personas, 2 arenas, and 2 championships.

Ownership of premium content is shareable among family members on the same console, consistent with prior DLC practices; progress through the pass is unique to each profile. Optional tier skips are available to premium owners, but all rewards remain earnable through RXP.

Season Cadence and Availability

There will be 6 Ringside Pass seasons in total. Season 1 starts March 6, with subsequent seasons targeted for release about every seven weeks. Notably, launching Season 1 during Early Access means DLC characters arrive at the game’s launch window.

Release roadmap (subject to change)

Season Window Notes
Ringside Pass Season 1 March 6 Early Access start; DLC characters available at launch
Ringside Pass Season 2 April Before WrestleMania 42
Ringside Pass Season 3 June Approximately seven-week cadence
Ringside Pass Season 4 July Approximately seven-week cadence
Ringside Pass Season 5 September Approximately seven-week cadence
Ringside Pass Season 6 October Approximately seven-week cadence

Older Seasons Won’t Expire

When a new season begins, the previous season remains available. You can finish your current season, jump ahead to the new one, and return later – progress is not lost, and content remains unlockable.

Legacy Unlocks and Supercharger Changes

WWE Legends that were previously tied to in-game Tokens or the SuperCharger DLC have been moved to the free track of Season 1. These can now be unlocked by earning RXP. The SuperCharger pack has been retired.

Final Takeaway – What This Means for Players

The Ringside Pass centralizes DLC characters, cosmetics, and mode-specific rewards into a unified, progression-based system. With 6 non-expiring seasons, a free track that includes legacy unlocks, and DLC Superstars available from launch, WWE 2K26 sets a predictable cadence and a clear path to earn content by playing.
