Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero Details Dlc, Mission 100 and Survival
Bandai Namco has shared a fresh roadmap for DRAGON BALL: Sparking! Zero alongside a new trailer and first details on the next expansion. Producer Jun Furutani says the team is building content that goes beyond the usual fighter drops. The upcoming DLC adds new playable characters, costumes and stages, plus a new single-player mode. The studio also outlined two free modes – Mission 100 and Survival Mode – arriving via updates on supported platforms.
Platform timing is staggered. On PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Steam, the new DLC is slated for summer 2026. For Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2, Season Pass content begins rolling out this winter, with a different schedule for the new DLC and free updates.
What the Next Dlc Adds
The studio confirms the next add-on is designed to deepen the experience – not just expand the roster. A trailer previews part of the package (link below), with more specifics to follow as development progresses.
- New playable characters – additional fighters joining the lineup
- Costumes and stages – items and arenas requested by players
- New single-player mode – a fresh solo experience beyond standard battles

Free Modes on the Way
Two free updates are planned to keep solo play active between larger drops. One of them nods directly to a fan-favorite mode from the Budokai Tenkaichi era.
- Mission 100 – a simple solo mode with 100 battles, each with defined conditions for your team and the opponents. It is described as similar in spirit to missions featured in DRAGON BALL Z Sparking! METEOR (Budokai Tenkaichi 3).
- Survival Mode – set to arrive in another free update by spring.
Roadmap by Platform
The rollout differs between platforms. Below is a concise snapshot of what is confirmed so far – windows refer to the publisher’s stated timing and may vary by region.

Developer Perspective
“We wanted to deliver content that offers a deeper ‘Dragon Ball’ experience,” said producer Jun Furutani, noting that the expansion goes beyond adding characters.
The Bottom Line – Why It Matters
Sparking! Zero is shifting from pure roster boosts to broader solo content – a move likely to appeal to players who enjoyed the structured challenges in earlier Budokai Tenkaichi entries. With Mission 100, Survival Mode and a single-player mode inside the next DLC, the game’s post-launch plan leans into replayable challenges and fan-requested features. If you play on PS5, Xbox Series X|S or Steam, circle summer 2026; on Switch platforms, expect Season Pass drops to start this winter, with more dates to come.
